Compassion in World Farming
Compassion in World Farming is the leading charity dedicated exclusively to farm animal welfare.
At the very core of Compassion in World Farming is our belief that animals should not and need not suffer. And with more than 40 billion farm animals raised in industrial systems worldwide every year, we believe that factory farming is the biggest cause of animal cruelty on the planet.
For over 40 years, Compassion in World Farming has been campaigning to end the suffering of farm animals around the world. We have helped secure bans across Europe on cruel veal crates, narrow sow stalls and barren battery cages. But with 2 out of every 3 farm animals still suffering in factory farms, there is a lot that needs to be done.
Through investigations, research and education, we influence policy making in order to improve the lives of billions of farm animals. We positively engage with the farming and food industries - including producers, processors and retailers - to encourage and facilitate higher standards of farm animal welfare here and abroad.
Gifts from Wills account for over a third of our income. We receive no government aid and so rely entirely on legacies and other donations to continue our work. Please help us put an end to the cruel practices of factory farming by remembering us in your Will. Thank you.
