Charity number:
1081949 (England and Wales) We promote equality for Deaf people through the provision of accessible services:
- Deaf communities: By working with Deaf clubs and other self-help groups, we provide Deaf people with places to meet as well as social and leisure activities.
- Social Care: Specialist support for Deaf people who are old, or have learning disabilities and/or mental health challenges… and the people who care for them.
- Interpreters: We provide sign language interpreters for every need and a 24 hour emergency service available 365 days a year.
- Children, Youth and Families: Activities for families with parents and/or children who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Challenges which equip Deaf teenagers with skills and confidence for adulthood.
- Advocacy: Supporting Deaf people to achieve independence and enabling them to gain access to information, advice and guidance.
- Employment: Support and advice for Deaf people seeking employment, Deaf employees and employers of Deaf people.
- Legal Services: Professional legal advice in British Sign Language: face to face and online via webcam. We also offer a will-writing service.
Without legacies and donations, a large part of our work would be unsustainable.
We depend on and are extremely grateful for your gift. Thank you.
