Action For Kids

Action For Kids is a national disability charity which has been supporting disabled children, young people and their families for over 15 years.

Our mission is about creating independence, providing opportunities and offering support to disabled young people and their families.

We understand that there is so much more to a disabled young person than their disability and we believe that every young person deserves the opportunities to reach their full potential and live as independently as possible.

Each young person is different and we address the needs of each individual child through all or some of our three key areas of work:

• The provision and ongoing maintenance of a wide range of mobility equipment, from walkers and trikes to top of the range stand up wheelchairs.
• The teaching of vital work and life skills through our Work Related Learning Services, which improve the future prospects of disabled young people allowing them to gain new experiences, improve their ability to communicate and grow in self confidence.
• The national Family Support Services Helpline which offers an invaluable lifeline to disabled young people and their families in what can often be an isolating and confusing situation.
