ActionAid

ActionAid is one of the UK’s largest overseas development charities, helping to improve the quality of life for some of the world’s poorest children, their families and communities. We are a secular, non-political organisation working with poor and marginalised people to eradicate poverty by overcoming the injustice and inequality that cause it. We work in over 40 countries, throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

A legacy to ActionAid can support long-term projects and help create opportunities for real change. Our projects include improving health care, safe water provision, access to education, agricultural training and income generation. They are developed in close consultation with local communities to ensure success.

With over 35 years’ experience, ActionAid also helps to achieve wider change through lobbying governments in the UK and worldwide. We also sow the seeds of greater understanding of global issues through education work in UK schools.

A legacy to us will help the poorest, most disadvantaged people secure their basic rights and needs. These may include landless labourers, families displaced by war and conflict and people who government resources simply don’t reach.
