You can change the world for animals
For 34 years, Animal Aid has been investigating and campaigning against animal cruelty – and we get results
- Animal Aid filmed undercover in nine UK slaughterhouses and revealed shocking illegal cruelty. We launched a high-profile campaign, and persuaded all the major supermarket chains to insist all their suppliers fit CCTV cameras in their
slaughterhouses, and that they allow independent monitoring of the footage. - Animal Aid’s new scientific report, Victims of Charity, reveals how animal experiments are cruel, unnecessary and even dangerously misleading. Now we are using national newspaper advertisements and central London billboards to persuade medical research charities to stop funding animal experiments.
- Our campaigning closed down Britain’s biggest bird fair, saving wild birds from being trapped in Africa and Asia and then being transported to live in cages in the UK.
These, and many other successes, have saved countless animals from imprisonment, pain, misery and death. Animal Aid is also working for a compassionate future through widespread educational initiatives:
- We provide, free of charge, top quality educational resources to schools throughout the UK. The DVDs, lesson plans and student activities are constantly updated and are linked to the National Curriculum, to ensure maximum use.
- Each year, our nationwide network of volunteer speakers gives more than 350 talks in schools
- Every term, we mail out to the more than 5,000 teachers who are committed to working with us.
Please include Animal Aid in your will, and help to change the world for animals.
