Calibre Audio Library
Calibre Audio Library is a subscription-free lending service that provides recorded books for people with visual impairment including readers with dyslexia and other disabilities which prevent them reading print.
The charity brings the pleasure of reading to over 19,000 members with a wide selection of 8,500 unabridged books including the latest best sellers, non-fiction and fiction. The Young Calibre selection for under-16’s contains 1,400 titles for reading enjoyment. So whether people like thrillers, military history or are looking for the latest Jacqueline Wilson’s children’s title, Calibre’s friendly, easy- to-use service provides great reading.
Other benefits include no subscription or postage fees to pay and no fines for late or damaged books. There is a one-off joining fee of £35 (adults) or £20 (Under 16’s).
We receive no government resources to fund our work and welcome people’s generosity to support this much valued service.
