Church of England Pensions Board Retirement Housing for Clergy Pensioners, The
For more than 60 years the Board has provided retirement housing to clergy and others retired from the full-time stipendiary ministry, their spouses, widows or widowers. As well as the retirement housing scheme, the Board offers supported housing in seven locations around the country, and a nursing home for its more elderly and frail pensioners, allaying the uncertainties and loneliness which can often be associated with old age.
It is the Board’s Charitable Funds which help clergy pensioners who need financial assistance. They can provide grants to supplement a low income, or subsidise residents or patients who are unable to meet the full fees of their supported housing or nursing care. The Charitable Funds of the Pensions Board are completely separate from the money used to pay pensions and have to rely solely for their resources on the generosity of others.
Your legacy and support will ensure the continuation of our much-needed work. Thank you.
