Real life matters. That is why we at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice help over 1,000 local families every year to cope in very difficult and extreme situations.

We have been providing care and support to thousands of people since 1979. Our patients are people experiencing the effects of a life-shortening illness. The Hospice is about maximising their quality of life and getting the best out of the time that they have, however long or short this may be. Every day, more people need our care – we support not just the person who is ill, but also their carers and loved ones. We want to be there to help. LEAVING A SMILE FOR THE FUTURE

There are more than 1,000 children in the South West who suffer from conditions
that mean they will die before they reach adulthood. Conditions such as heart
disease and organ failure, muscular dystrophy, cancer and cystic fibrosis. Children
who suffer in this way need very specialised care during their short and precious
lives, care which our dedicated children’s hospices lovingly provide.

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) supports families and cares for children and
young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk
and Suffolk. We provide care and support wherever the family wishes – in families’ own
homes, in the community or at one of our hospices in Ipswich, Milton and Quidenham.
Our care teams help children and their families with the emotional and physical
challenges they face, helping them to make the most of life. We deliver a range of
services that includes: short break care, specialist play activities, music therapy,

Grove House is a hospice serving the communities of St Albans, Harpenden and Hemel Hempstead. We provide specialist care, advice and support to improve the quality of life for people affected by cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.

Helen & Douglas House has the time and expertise to care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions. The two hospice houses offer specialist symptom and pain management, medically supported short breaks and end-of-life care, as well as counselling and practical support for the whole family. Our aim is to help every young person, aged from birth to 35, to live life to the full, even when that life is short.

Over 650 adults in Poole and the surrounding areas of Dorset living with cancer and other life limiting illnesses can benefit from the highest quality palliative care free of charge at Lewis-Manning Hospice.

Paintings in Hospitals is a registered charity that uses art and creativity to reduce sickness, anxiety and stress in UK healthcare facilities. Through our work we create environments that improve health, wellbeing and the healthcare experience for patients, their families and staff. Every year our work brings comfort and reassurance to over 1.8 million people across the UK from London to York, Aberystwyth and Belfast. We work across the health sector, including hospitals, hospices, care homes, GP surgeries, cancer centres and alternative therapy centres.

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) supports families with seriously ill children by providing free “home away from home” accommodation at hospitals and hospices across the UK. We are driven by the passionate belief that every child in hospital deserves to have their family close by to provide much needed comfort and hope.

For the past 21 years, Severn Hospice has given free care and support to 17,000 patients and their loved ones during their greatest time of need. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, one-to-one care that gives comfort to hundreds of local people every year.

St Gemma’s cares for local people who have incurable illnesses. Our aim is to control their symptoms, alleviate their pain and give them the best possible quality of life.

St Luke’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care free of charge to people with advanced progressive illnesses, which addresses their physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs thus enhancing their quality of life and supporting their families and carers.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Chichester, is an independent local charity. For over 20 years we have provided Specialist Palliative Care for around 10,000 people with Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease and other terminal illnesses. We provide care and support 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year and at any one time we are looking after over 230 people in our community.

Trafford Healthcare NHS Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute services throughout the Trafford area of Greater Manchester.

The York Teaching Hospital Charity supports the work of the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to improve the patient and staff services and facilities provided by York Hospitals. The charity plays a vital role in raising funds for the Trust to help to ensure the best quality of care is provided by funding aspects such as:
