Each year Birmingham Children’s Hospital treats 250,000 sick children. Many of the children in our care face incredibly difficult circumstances. Their bravery is astounding. We try to ensure that every child who visits us receives the best possible medical treatment, is looked after in a kind and caring manner, and that their surroundings are suitable both for their age and the length of their stay. We cannot do this without your help.

Fundraising for Birmingham Children’s Hospital will allow us to:

LEAVING A SMILE FOR THE FUTURE

There are more than 1,000 children in the South West who suffer from conditions
that mean they will die before they reach adulthood. Conditions such as heart
disease and organ failure, muscular dystrophy, cancer and cystic fibrosis. Children
who suffer in this way need very specialised care during their short and precious
lives, care which our dedicated children’s hospices lovingly provide.

We share with families the care of their child and offer respite care, symptom control, emergency and terminal care at Martin House or in the family home. Care is offered to any family with a child or children with a life threatening illness. We welcome all the family, giving them a break together or time to themselves in a comfortable home from home atmosphere.
