Friends of Michael Sobell House support the work of Michael Sobell Hospice based in Northwood, Middlesex. We provide funding over and above that provided by the NHS enabling services to be enhanced and expanded. The Hospice has been providing specialist palliative services for 35 years to patients across a very large region, facing life-limiting illnesses.
We focus on improving the quality of people’s lives, promoting physical and psychological comfort through a diverse set of complementary disciplines.

When a family has been told that there’s no cure for their loved one’s illness, Havens Hospices can help. We’re here to make the journey as comfortable as possible, controlling pain and medication, offering respite and caring for children and adults at the end of their lives. Our specialist care is free – for as long as is needed – within the home and at our two hospices.

Hospice Aid UK is a well established charity delivering much needed grants to hospices throughout the UK.

The story of the Maudsley Charity began with a charitable deed over 760 years ago. In 1247 a former Sheriff of the City of London endowed funds to form the Priory of St Mary which was later named the Bethlem Hospital, the world's oldest psychiatric institution, based at the time in Bishopsgate, near Liverpool Street station today. Over the centuries, donations have continued to play an important role in improving the experience of people treated at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) and to promote mental health and well being for all.

Severn Hospice’s caring teams have been providing expert end of life support to people living across Shropshire, Telford and Mid Wales since 1989. In that time we have cared for more than 19,400 people living with terminal illnesses such as cancer.

At St Columba’s Hospice, our vision is to help make every minute count for our patients and their loved ones. Every year we provide specialist palliative care to over 1,000 patients in our in-patient unit, day hospice and at home in the community.

We help our patients live as actively as possible after their diagnosis until the end of life, giving them the dignity and respect which we would wish for ourselves.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Chichester, is an independent local charity. For over 20 years we have provided Specialist Palliative Care for around 10,000 people with Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease and other terminal illnesses. We provide care and support 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year and at any one time we are looking after over 230 people in our community.
