Jewish Blind & Disabled is unique as it is the only charity in the community providing purpose built mobility apartments to people of all ages who are physically disabled or vision impaired. We currently have six apartment blocks across North London and are delighted to announce that building work is now well under way on our latest development in Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire. This will provide an additional 39 state-of-the-art mobility apartments for people with a real and urgent need plus two apartments for resident on site house managers.

The unparalleled attention to detail that goes into the planning of every aspect of our buildings enables each tenant to live independently. This, combined with the security of house managers on call 24 hours a day/seven days a week, means that they and their families can relax safe in the knowledge that help is always on hand if required.
Our tenants enjoy the best of both worlds - choosing between the privacy of their own apartment or the warm community atmosphere in the attractive communal lounges and well-maintained gardens.
A key to one of our apartments is literally the key to a new future for people who might otherwise be condemned by their disability to a life of house-bound dependence, or even a move into residential care often at a comparatively young age.
As a relatively small, completely independent charity that does not receive any government funding we are reliant on the generosity of our donors to be able to deliver this vital new future.
