Wythall Animal Sanctuary is a local Midlands Charity and was founded in 1969 by Dave and Kath Davies and over the last 40 years has found new homes for over 30,000 animals, mainly unwanted dogs and cats. No healthy animal is ever put to sleep and if it cannot be re-homed, will remain in our care at the Sanctuary for the rest of its natural life.

Bransby Home of Rest for Horses (Bransby) grew from very humble beginnings over forty years ago.

Our Founder, Mr Peter Hunt, who sadly died in November 2010, rescued his first horse in 1947 from a bomb site in London. Sally, a four year old mare, came to Bransby with Mr Hunt in 1967 where she received a lifetime of care and love.

Care in the Air

The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance provides a rapid response emergency helicopter, that is fully equipped to attend medical emergencies and covers a total of 3,000 square miles. We are available to be called on to assist at the scene of an accident, providing medical treatment together with rapid transportation for those who might not otherwise survive their injuries.
