National Blind Children’s Society

We help children and young people with visual impairment from first diagnosis through to young adulthood. Our aim is to help them to achieve their recreational and educational goals through immediate and ongoing emotional and practical support for the whole family.

We provide expert, independent advice and information to families, including:

• Finding the right educational placement and specialised support
• Providing large-print books for home and school, customised to individual eye conditions
• Advising on the latest technology to aid study and recreation

We also run a nationwide programme of day and weekend family events, plus social, holiday and adventure activities.
