Pancreatic cancer is overlooked and underfunded. Survival rates are amongst the worst of any cancer with an average life-expectancy of 4-6 months after diagnosis. 5 year survival rates are lower than 3%.

The statistics have not changed in 40 years of medical developments which have seen other cancer survival rates improve. 21 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer today and only 1 of them will be with us in five years time.

Pancreatic Cancer UK is here to do something about that and our goal is to improve the survival rate. The problem we face is that the majority of diagnoses come at too late a stage meaning that for most the treatment will have little if any impact.

To tackle this we are funding research into better diagnosis and treatment. We work to improve the quality of life for anyone affected by pancreatic cancer and we work to ensure they have access to the best possible treatment and care.

Through our online and telephone support service we provide support to anyone affected by pancreatic cancer whether they are patient, family, friend, carer or medical professional.
The charity was founded and is governed by people directly affected by pancreatic cancer. This means that in leaving a gift to Pancreatic Cancer UK you know it will be used to make real and meaningful differences to the lives of thousands people affected by pancreatic cancer both now and in years to come.

Thank you for thinking about supporting us.
