Heart disease is the UK’s biggest killer and lung disease incapacitates one person in seven. Royal Brompton & Harefield hospitals are world-renowned leaders in the research and treatment of heart and lung disease, providing specialist services for patients of all ages from across the country.

We are Europe’s top-ranked respiratory research centre, and our cardiac, cardiovascular and critical care teams are rated in the top 3 most highly cited health research teams in Europe. We have the largest centre for cystic fibrosis in Europe. Our experts have been responsible for major breakthroughs such as pioneering intricate heart surgery for newly born infants and leading the use of artificial hearts to save the lives of patients with end stage heart failure who are deteriorating and unable to wait for a transplant.
Acts of generosity led to the founding of Harefield and Brompton Hospitals when they were created for the treatment of tuberculosis. Your charitable bequest will ensure we continue to bring hope to thousands of patients with heart and lung disease. Your gift can be used towards research into new treatments and cures; to purchase state of the art medical equipment; or to provide those extra facilities for patients to make time spent at our hospitals more comfortable.
