For the past 21 years, Severn Hospice has given free care and support to 17,000 patients and their loved ones during their greatest time of need. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, one-to-one care that gives comfort to hundreds of local people every year.

We look after people across Shropshire, Telford and Montgomeryshire who are living with complex and progressive illnesses. Our aim is to give the best support possible to sustain our patients’ quality of life and provide relief from both physical and emotional pain.

Due to increasing demand we opened a new hospice in Telford in 2007, providing 60 day care places and eight beds. This is in addition to our 21-bed hospice and 60 day care places at Shrewsbury and 20 day places in Newtown, Powys. The area of greatest growth is in care provided to patients in their own home, including 24-hour support where necessary.

Without donations from friends and supporters, our dedicated care would be impossible. As an independent charity, we have to raise two-thirds of our income. One of our main sources of voluntary giving is legacies.

If you believe very ill people should have the best of everything, every day, then leaving a gift in your Will is wonderful way to put this into action. We would be pleased to offer an opportunity to visit, without obligation, or send you further details of our work and how your gift could make a lasting difference which will benefit local people for years to come.
