St Gemma’s Hospice
St Gemma’s cares for local people who have incurable illnesses. Our aim is to control their symptoms, alleviate their pain and give them the best possible quality of life.
Care is offered through the Hospice’s In-Patient Unit, through our community team and via our Day Services, which includes a Day Hospice and Out-Patient’s department. Families and friends are also supported by specialist bereavement workers who provide support for all including children and young people.
All the services that St Gemma’s provides are free of charge for our patients and their families, so we need your support to help us continue making every day count.
Last year St Gemma’s Hospice;
- Cared for over 2500 patients
- Visited 3219 patients in the community who wanted to stay at home during their illness
- Provided 1129 bereavement support sessions after the death of a loved one
The running costs of St Gemma’s Hospice are over £8 million which is why we need your help.
The cost of caring for 1 in 5 of our patients is covered by gifts left in Wills. By leaving a gift in your Will to St Gemma’s Hospice you are helping give families more quality time to enjoy precious moments together.
Thank you.
