Actors’ Charitable Trust
The Actors’ Charitable Trust (TACT) is a long-established charity which:
• helps actors’ children during family crisis or long-term illness
• runs the actors’ care home, Denville Hall
• supports students on drama and other arts courses.
In 2011, we awarded £250,000 to actors’ children, helping with extra-curricular classes, clothing, medical costs, special needs support, and in many other ways. TACT’s welfare adviser helps families get on their feet again, rather than become dependent on charitable support.
Actors give us so much pleasure during their working careers, but the vast majority never achieve the financial security of the Hollywood few.
TACT relies on donations and legacies to expand its work.
