Baker partner profits up

The London office of US and City firm Baker & McKenzie has upped its partner profits by more than half, the firm has reported. Average profits per equity partner shot up 56% to £650,000 for the year ending 30 June 2010.

Barristers join society
All 162 barristers at Birmingham’s St Philips Chambers have joined Birmingham Law Society. Membership has been open to barristers since 2008, but this is the first time an entire set has joined.
