Penningtons Manches’ Guildford office has appointed two more lawyers, Laura Hughes and Lee Henderson, to boost the growing Surrey family law practice.

Laura Hughes joins from Crisp & Co where she advised on all aspects of divorce and separation with a particular focus on high net worth clients with complex assets; trust and pension portfolios; high-value pre-nuptial agreements; and complex, contested Children Act matters such as international relocation.

She also advises on alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and is on the committee of Young Surrey Resolution (an association of family lawyers dedicated to family focused solutions). She is a member of Young Surrey Professionals and the Association of Women Solicitors.

Lee Henderson joins Penningtons Manches from Goodman Ray, a leading niche family firm in Central London where he worked closely with the head of the matrimonial team.

A member of Resolution, Lee has experience in all areas of family law, with a particular focus on issues arising out of relationship breakdown including children matters and disputes involving complex financial arrangements following separation.

Veronica Gilmour, head of the family law team in Surrey, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome these two highly talented family lawyers to our growing team.

‘As more and more of our clients have complex financial and children issues – often with an international element – our team’s expertise must reflect their specialist needs.’
