Anna Austin has joined Battens Solicitors as a consultant for the next phase of her legal career.

She brings a decade of experience to strengthen the Dorset and Somerset law firm’s commercial property department as the company continues to expand.

Fully qualified solicitor Anna decided on Battens as her destination to expand her professional horizons.

She said: ‘There is a great deal of expertise within the growing commercial property team at Battens as well as a high quality of work.

‘I chose Battens for its excellent reputation and because it offers good opportunities for getting my teeth into some significant projects.’

Battens has offices in Dorchester and Weymouth as well as Sherborne, Yeovil and London.

Anna added: ‘The commercial property sector has really improved generally with many more leases in retail and people buying small businesses.

‘It is an encouraging sign and an exciting time to be joining Battens.’

Anna will apply her expertise to advise and support developers, housebuilders, investors and businesses in such areas as commercial leases, conditional contracts, option and promotion agreements, site acquisitions and re-financing.
