Claire Parfitt has started a training contract at GHP Legal in Wrexham.

She joined the civil litigation team at the firm’s head office as a paralegal in May this year after graduating from Newcastle University and completing the LPC at Chester College of Law, where she also did voluntary work with the National Centre for Domestic Violence.

Born and bred in Wrexham, Claire is a keen photographer and painter who enjoys walking and cycling in the surrounding countryside.

She said: ‘It was always my dream to qualify as a solicitor and to have the opportunity to do so with such a reputable and long-established law firm as GHP Legal is an honour.’

Robert Williams, a partner and head of training, said: ‘Claire has already made a substantial contribution to the work done by our civil team in her time there as a paralegal. Her ability to understand the issues in cases and her ability to engage with clients is excellent.

‘She will succeed in the profession and we are pleased to be able to train her to reach her goal of becoming a fully qualified solicitor.’
