London law firm Bircham Dyson Bell (BDB) has announced that Geoffrey Kertesz has joined the firm as a partner and head of the trusts and succession disputes team.

Geoff specialises in trusts and legacy disputes and joins from Withers, where he was a senior associate.

Dual qualified in England and Wales and California, Geoff has particular expertise advising international clients - both fiduciaries and beneficiaries, as well as creditors and adverse claimants - on multi-jurisdictional trust issues. In his succession practice he has broad experience across a wide range of inheritance claims including those relating to the validity of wills, claims under the Inheritance Act, and proprietary estoppel claims.

Geoff Kertesz said: ‘I am thrilled to be joining BDB and to be working closely with such well-regarded private wealth and litigation teams. Developing the trusts and succession disputes offering will be hugely beneficial to both international and domestic clients.’

Jesper Christensen, managing partner said: ‘Geoff’s arrival at BDB strengthens our contentious trusts and succession disputes offering and further bolsters our services.

‘This is a fantastic start to 2016 for the firm as we continue to grow to best answer the demands of the increasingly international nature of our client base, and their business and personal interests.’
