'Conservative' societies means those with norms that promote high fertility. 'Westernised' societies means the converse. Therefore, there is likely to be a continual flow of people from conservative societies to Westernised societies, because conservative societies (absent emigration) tend to have an increasing population, while Westernised societies (absent immigration) tend to have a decreasing population. Provided the immigrants continue to Westernise, there could be a stable symbiosis between the two types of society.
This judgment stinks of Islamaphobia. Basically you can stay in the U.K. if you renounce your religion? So what if a Muslim doesn't want to adhere to laws of a Muslim country? As a Muslim myself I put to you that refusing to adhere to Islamic Laws in an Islamic Country as a Muslim is Haram. This judgement just sends a message to Muslims that we are not able to stay in the country if we hold our Islamic beliefs strongly.
