    Thank you for this Vicky- the decision to criminalise those protesting against the genocide in Gaza is deeply troubling.

    But for the failure of government to apply the ICC Act 2001 ( Genocide s 50 -57) people would not have to protest. Cherry picking the law creates the appearance of a state of lawlessness by government, which tacitly encourages protest.

    Maybe the government should be focussing on trying to stop the genocide in Gaza, rather than stopping organisations that are trying to prevent that genocide.
