The person on the street knows what a terrorist is. All those hundreds of silent vigil protestors, that are being arrested will nilly, are self-evidently not terrorists.
When the law deviates so markedly from what the ordinary person sees as right and wrong trouble will not be far behind.

But for the failure of government to apply the ICC Act 2001 ( Genocide s 50 -57) people would not have to protest. Cherry picking the law creates the appearance of a state of lawlessness by government, which tacitly encourages protest.

Maybe the government should be focussing on trying to stop the genocide in Gaza, rather than stopping organisations that are trying to prevent that genocide.
