Registered Charity No: 241693 (England & Wales).

The Granada Foundation seeks to fund imaginative projects which encourage the study and appreciation of the fine arts and sciences, with a particular interest in activity that will make the North West of England a more attractive and culturally rich environment.

Established in 1965 through the generosity of Sidney and Cecil Bernstein, the Foundation has awarded over £6.3 million in grants so far, mainly to small charitable organisations.

The grants, usually for projects in art, architecture, cinema, dance, drama, literature, music, and science, are allocated by an Advisory Council of experts who live and work in the North West. Examples of some of the funded projects can be found on the website.

You can be confident that your legacy will provide support for carefully considered proposals where the benefit will be significant and widely felt.
