Registered Charity No: SC001918 (Scotland).
The Dog Aid Society of Scotland is a small dog re-homing Charity based in Edinburgh. DASS re-home all breeds of dogs through a home from home basis all over Scotland. Run solely from donations, all dogs are neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. DASS conducts home visits to make sure all of the dogs go to loving homes. As the dog stays with their current owner until a new home is found, the dog does not need to go into kennels which many find very stressful.
DASS also provides financial assistance to dog owners on low incomes with the cost of vet bills and neutering. The neutering scheme gives owners a £50 voucher towards the cost of having the dog neutered at a private vet, this helps promote responsible dog ownership. Neutering as many dogs as possible means the number of unwanted dogs in rescues will decrease giving homeless dogs a better chance of finding loving homes.
The Society relies solely on donations and legacies. Leaving a gift to the Society in your will means we can assist even more dogs in need all over Scotland.
