Registered Charity No: 1111438 (England & Wales).
Fight for Sight is the leading UK charity dedicated to funding research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease. We rely on donations to fund over £4m of eye research every year into conditions including age-related macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, cataract, diabetic retinopathy and a range of inherited retinal diseases.
Our achievements include:
- Saving the sight of thousands of premature babies through understanding and controlling levels of oxygen delivery;
- Saving the sight of over 52,000 people by establishing the UK Corneal Transplant Service, facilitating corneal transplants;
- Revolutionising the treatment for children with lazy eye (amblyopia); and
- Bringing hope to children with choroideremia - an inherited eye disease - by helping to fund the world’s first gene therapy trial.
Without our donors’ support we could not pioneer revolutionary research that brings hope to millions and that will help make sight loss a thing of the past. Please help us create a future everyone can see.
