Registered Charity No: 1165716 (England & Wales).

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham is home to the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine and is the receiving hospital for all the UK’s military patients and veterans when they are injured or fall ill anywhere around the world. Fisher House UK is an 18 bedroom home-from-home for our military families to stay in, free of charge, when their loved one is being treated in the hospital.

Not just a ‘house’, this home from home offers support and welfare advice if families require it. One military patient commented ‘Fisher House is a beautiful home, a short walk from where I was in critical care and where my parents were supported by staff and other families staying there. I would say that we hope never to have need of Fisher House, but if we do, then there is no other place we would rather be.’

Fisher House relies solely on charitable funding, and the annual running costs of £250,000 are met thanks to the generosity of our fundraisers and supporters.

Leaving a gift in your will to Fisher House will ensure that we are able to maintain this lifeline for future generations of service people and veterans. Please get in touch today to find out more about how you can leave a gift to Fisher House.
