The Hospice is a special place, where patients and families can spend precious time together, on the Mount Vernon Hospital site in Northwood, Middlesex.
Our professional team offers medical, nursing and emotional care along with practical support for patients, their families and carers. Our aim is that every patient should experience a journey towards the end of their life that is peaceful, comfortable and free from worry and pain.
Services provided include:
- Inpatient unit
- Day Centre
- Patient and Family support including bereavement counselling
- Rehabilitation support
- Specialist award winning education team
Michael Sobell Hospice is run by East and North Hertfordshire NHS and jointly funded by the NHS and the Michael Sobell Hospice charity. Each year the charity has to raise £1.6 million to ensure vital services are maintained, around 40% of the overall running costs.
With the support of the local community, including gifts in Wills, the charity makes a major contribution to patient care at the hospice, £2 in every £5 spent. Thank you for your support which could help us continue to do this long into the future.
