Helping local blind and partially sighted children and adults

My Sight Nottinghamshire is a local charity, which promotes greater independence for visually impaired people of all ages throughout Nottinghamshire by providing support, advice, information and rehabilitative activities.

Our work gives visually impaired children and young people the opportunity to take part in activities that are adapted to meet their needs and more importantly gives them an opportunity to meet children in similar circumstances. This also creates a network for parents to share the experiences and problems they face in bringing up a visually impaired child, providing opportunities to overcome some of these obstacles.

My Sight Nottinghamshire’s adult services include a computer group, mobile and central resource services providing access to vision impairment aids and equipment as well as offering support and advice to service users, carers and professionals on all vision impairment issues.
Our home visiting scheme places appropriately trained volunteers with vision impaired people who are living alone and are particularly isolated, lacking in confidence and general social contact.

My Sight Nottinghamshire offers support to service users from the time of diagnosis through to rehabilitation, daily living, mobility training and ongoing development.

A gift in your will to My Sight Nottinghamshire will help future generations of blind and partially sighted people to realise their true potential.
