Registered Charity No: 298348 (England & Wales).

From humble beginnings in 1924 when Miss Louise Snow opened the first centre in a small house in Lordship Lane, North London, Wood Green has grown to become one of the leading animal welfare rehoming charities in the UK.

Our dedicated care for homeless and injured pets continues today and is a benchmark in the field of animal welfare. With our world-class rehoming centre in Cambridgeshire, we find loving homes for thousands of animals each year. As well as rehoming cats and dogs, we rehome many other animals including rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, ferrets and chickens.

Gifts in Wills are vital to Wood Green and enable us to provide the best possible care for homeless pets which includes carrying out thousands of medical checks and operations every year. We also provide advice and support for pet owners to increase public awareness of its responsibility towards animals in society

Our Cambridgeshire centre covers 52 acres and is home to our kennels, a state-of-the-art surgery unit and a puppy block, all built because of gifts left in Wills. We do not receive any Government or lottery funding and instead rely solely on the support and generosity of the public. Every kind gift we receive funds the life-saving medicine, food, warmth and shelter that the homeless and injured pets in our care rely on.
