Epsom College excel in fundraising!

World Child Cancer would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Epsom College who helped raise £2,943.60 to support children with cancer, and their families, in the developing world.

In September 2018 World Child Cancer won a vote unanimously to be Epsom College’s International Charity of the Year from 2018 to 2020. Our Ambassador, Alex Shammas, is an alumnus of the school and kindly put World Child Cancer forward to the charity committee to be considered.

The charity committee helped host an array of activities, which included brownie sales, a mufti day, and church offertory. The key event of the term was the Junior Extravaganza, which was a talent show made up of student and teacher performances in front of 300 students!

One comment that stood out to the charity committee was from one of the younger students who said, “I didn’t know children got cancer.” This shows just how important the work that the charity committee are doing to not only fundraise but also raise awareness of children with cancer on the school grounds and beyond.

Once again, thank you so much to all at Epsom College for their hard work fundraising, and we cannot wait to see what they have in store for 2019.
