CMG Cunningham Dickey Solicitors is an amalgamation of two established law firms; CMG Solicitors and Cunningham & Dickey Solicitors. Each respective firm has a long history; the William Graham practice merged with the practice of Eric Morrow & Co to form Morrow Graham and in turn that practice then amalgamated with Carnson Gilbert & Neill to become Carnson Morrow Graham, later shortened to CMG Solicitors. Similarly, the practice of Cunningham & Dickey stretches back in Belfast to 1860. Both firms have an exceptional reputation, and by merging together, intend to improve further by providing a wider range of services to both returning and new clients.

The new firm’s private client department will advise about wills, trust and wealth management. Clients who have personal injury claims or medical negligence claims will continue to be represented by the firm’s litigation lawyers. The amalgamation will strengthen the firm’s matrimonial and children’s law advice and representation. The firm will continue to act for many of the leading residential housing developers in Northern Ireland, having significant experience in creating joint ventures between landowners and developers and concluding planning agreements under planning legislation.

Business acquisitions and disposals, commercial litigation, medical negligence claims, sports law and personal and corporate insolvency advice will all be offered by CMG Cunningham Dickey.

CMG Cunningham Dickey is a member of World Link for Law, a leading network of international law firms, and as a result, has professional contacts with lawyers in many diverse countries across the world.

The firm is also hugely experienced in disputes resolution and mediation. Partner Brian Speers is regarded as a ‘pioneer’ of the use of mediation to resolve disputes. He lectures extensively and internationally about mediation.
