Dr Donna Rooney is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist specialising in the assessment and treatment of mental health conditions in adults. She provides reports on psychological aspects of civil and criminal cases, including personal injury and medico-legal cases.

Dr Rooney is fully Chartered with British Psychological Society (BPS) and is a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology. She underwent the BPS training for Expert Witnesses and is on the BPS Expert Witness register. She is also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a member of the EMDR association and fully accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP).

Dr Rooney specialises in working with adults who have experienced psychological trauma, including post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and more complex trauma presentations (such as long-term childhood abuse). Her other specialist areas include anxiety (general, specific and phobic), adjustment disorders and depressive disorders. She is able to fully assess for these difficulties and explore the influence of significant traumatic events on the development and maintenance of these difficulties (e.g. following assault, injury or accident). She also provides treatment for victims of accidents and those suffering with PTSD.

Dr Rooney also has significant experience working in occupational settings, working with organisations and human resources departments regarding issues such as fitness to work, return to work plans, reasonable adjustments and dismissals.

Dr Rooney is based in central England, at her clinic in Lincoln. However, is able to travel nationally to provide assessments.
