David Watt BSc (Hons), Dip Arch Cons (Leic), PhD, MSc, FRICS, IHBC

Dr David Watt is a chartered building surveyor, historic buildings consultant and RICS certified historic building professional, who specialises in the survey, assessment, repair and maintenance of historic buildings and ancient monuments. Particular focus is given to developing holistic solutions for building problems, embracing aspects of Building Pathology and conservation science to satisfy wide ranging and often conflicting demands. Expert witness services relate to building or condition surveys, dilapidations, defect diagnosis, remedial action, documentation and statutory approvals.

Michael Almond BSc Hons (UCL), Dip Arch (UCL), RIBA, Bsc. Hons Estate Management

Michael Almond is a Chartered Architect and design and building technology consultant, who specialises in the survey, assessment, repair and maintenance of refurbished historic properties and contemporary buildings. Particular focus is given to developing holistic and pragmatic technical solutions for building defects associated with excess environmental moisture, condensation and water penetration and to identifying failures of workmanship, design, specification, site supervision and contract management as contributory factors to disputes and claims. Michael has extensive experience of involvement in issues relating to failure of tanking systems.

Tim Hutton MA, MSc, Vet MB, MRCVS

Dr Tim Hutton is a senior Building Pathologist, specializing in the investigation and remediation of damp and decay problems in buildings, the consequences of fire and flood and their remediation, and the growth and health effects of potentially hazardous moulds in buildings. Tim has extensive experience of involvement in issues relating to failure of tanking systems and also the origin and age of dry rot infection for dispute resolution and for insurers and loss adjusters.

Peter Bannister BA (Hons) CSRT F. ISSE

Peter Bannister is an independent consultant in Building Pathology and remedial works. He has over thirty years working experience in this field. Consultancy work involves building inspections for damp and decay, investigation of water penetration and moisture sources, biodeterioration and other material failures. Expert witness reports, joint expert responsibilities, specification and supervision of works on historic and modern buildings throughout the U.K. are routine activities. Expert witness experience has included the provision of evidence for criminal investigations, personal injury claims, property and building contract cases for County Courts and the High Court. He is familiar with Joint Expert instructions and Adjudication procedures. He is a member of the Property Care Association’s board of Independent Consultants.
