I acknowledge the value of gathering data on diversity from medium-sized and large practices.

That said, my firm, which is now a limited liability practice, has two directors, two fee-earners and (if one includes the two owners – my ‘partner’ and me) there are three employees.

Of what use is the SRA diversity data collection to us? Or, indeed, to the rest of the world about us? There ought to be a level below which one is excused from making a return on such matters. Over-regulated as we are, we are bound to complete the return lest we fall foul of the regulator.
