With regard to the proposals for transforming criminal cases in magistrates’ courts, I was intrigued to read that the prosecution will post details of their evidence ‘via an online portal’ and that in due course ‘the defendant will be informed of the decision online’.
I would be grateful if someone could clarify how this will work in the case of a defendant who does not have access to a personal computer.
