International firm CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang has asked its former head of intellectual property and partner Joel Barry to leave in a matter that has been reported to the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

No reason for his departure was revealed. A spokesperson for the firm said: ‘We can confirm that a partner has been asked to leave the firm and will not be commenting further.’

Barry joined the firm in 2017 from Olswang after the three-way merger with CMS and Nabarro. An SRA spokesperson said: ’Now that we are aware, we will look at all relevant information before deciding on any next steps.’
