This is about solicitors, not paralegals. For "fewer restrictions" on qualifying as a solicitor read "lower standards" and for comments about the "current cost" read "more solicitors will result in lower prices". In other words, as mentioned by others, the LSB is calling for a further dumbing down of the profession based on the usual misconception that we consist of a load of fat-cat lawyers interested only in feathering our own nests (apologies for the mixed metaphor).
