Although I was not involved in the trial in question, I have co-defended with Lawrence McNulty on 2 previous occasions and am proud to have done so. He is a talented, fearless and tenacious advocate and I look forward to his being exonerated in January. I am, however, dismayed that the rules of natural justice were ignore by the Court of Appeal and that he was not invited to be present to defend himself.
