In reply, I believe that the majority of ex offenders would not be suitable for the job in the first instance, but there are those that would be excellent. This is about Magistrates who on the whole are legally guided by the Clerk, so lets not get carried away with High Court Judges.Like everything, we would have to have a system in place to find those few. Until we have a Government with vision, things like this are just going to be on forums. The Courts are over stretched and getting worse due to not enough prison places, legal aid cuts, increasing self litigants and many others. I have no doubt there are posters on here, who could do a better job than those running things now and with some fantastic ideas, but we are left to carry on regardless.
