There is a long history of similar cases where the couple have enjoyed a fabulously lavish standard of living (usually, but not always) funded by an entrepreneurial husband until the marriage breaks down when, hey presto (or should that be hey Prest?) the husband either claims that he has nothing left, or the assets are hidden behind smoke and mirrors. Sadly for Mrs Young, she may have achieved, at great financial and emotional cost, a Pyrrhic victory as (see Mubarak) she is unlikely to recover. It is unfair to criticise the lawyers involved; we act on our clients' instructions, the client is perfectly entitled to pursue her or his case vigorously, and provided repeated warnings as to cost/benefit analyses are given, the lawyers have discharged their professional duty.
