Most clients would not expect a 100% fixed fee for their legal work. An accurate ‘ball park’ figure would satisfy most.

If I go to my local garage and ask them to fix my car, firstly they don’t quote without lifting the bonnet and secondly they phone me when they discover that extra work or extra parts are required. If the price was set in concrete, I would be concerned that any extra work might be overlooked or corners cut accordingly.

This may well be a headline grabber, nothing wrong with that, but as a previous post said, the devil will be in the detail.
