Being old school I tend to be wary of fixed fees if only because I now find most of my clients increasingly demanding and unreasonable . But one of the earlier comments did teach me something new. I liked the advice that if you agree a fee you mustn't let the client continue to try and dictate how you then do the job. Like agreeing a fee with a builder just letting him get on with doing the job how he thinks right. Maybe I'll try an experiment. Give a client or two the choice. Pay by the hour and I will do whatever they want me to do or have a fixed fee and leave me to decide how I am going to achieve the end goal..might be interesting
