It is vital to secure the integrity of the register, to respond to the consultation. The notion that land registry services could be outsourced to the highest bidder is ludicrous.
Having dealt with a number of offices over the years, I have nothing but praise for the service received. As an executive agency with trading fund status it is a self funding organisation that would be far better served by remaining in the hands of the public sector, retaining its knowledgable staff that appear to take pride in doing the job well.
