This rule change doesn't appear to have been prompted by the consultation process at all. It's the burden on the court of all the extra applications that the CJC is worried about.

If this alteration to the rule does the trick and pressure on the judges reduces (small hope, I know) nothing will be done to correct the real problems Jackson has caused.

The name of the game is administrative convenience. Someone needs to get a grip and see the damage being done to justice.
