Apologies, but what utter nonsense.

This reminds me of a firm I once worked for who were desperate to pot a client by becoming compliant with some idiotic badge ISO 9000 or something? The audit came through and the auditor was only interested in systems - were the right bits of colour card used? Did the paper sit straight in the file? Were the references right? You could pass the audit with flying colours but advise your client utterly negligently. The whole thing was an absolute farce, it was needlessly expensive, completely pointless and put extra pressure on the fee earners, entirely diverting them from their work.

My office is in the Black Country - when I get Mrs Bloggings wanting to sue her Landlord, she's not particularly interested in my Newly Qualified's business acumen, or their ability to deal in Human Rights - neither will they be particularly interested in diversity.

We're expected it seems to be tree-hugging liberals with one eye on our clients hoping they can pass money laundering tests so we can exclude them from being part of the local Al Quaeda network. if we're lucky, we might be able to cram a bit of law in now and then,

Please, will someone stop this regulatory, namby pamby nightmare we're suddenly all apparently subscribed to?

Maybe you know, it might just be time to slash the SRAs staff costs and get committees of proper working lawyers on board to tell the regulators, axe weilders and higher judiciary what it's like here in the real world, because, believe me, it's not a happy place.
