As any competent general knows the best way to win a battle is to divide your opponent and defeat them piecemeal and the best way to avoid such defeat is to be on your guard against falling into such a trap . If you are comprehensively outmanoeuvred by Wellington, Bonaparte or Marlborough perhaps you have an excuse, but by Mr Grayling? Is it not an indictment to note that in an issue vital to the financial viability of many solicitors and many of the Bar, that the professions' leaders are seemingly displaying the tactical awareness of George Armstrong Custer and the strategic insight of Ethelred the Unready?
