I know I'm just stating the obvious but this situation was inevitable. We all knew a year ago that this headline would appear.

I sympathise with District Judges on this issue (which becomes a much bigger problem if the small claims track limit increase happens). They are supposed to be judging - they shouldn't have to be there to spoonfeed the law LiP's.

The harsh reality is that professional representatives act in a respectful manner toward the Court whether they have a good or bad day in Court. Litigants in person are not always going to act in a suitably respectful manner. Sadly, it won't be long before G4S will get the contract for in-chambers security....

All very unfortunate and unnecessary.

Most of us anticipated these problems a while ago but still the Government steamroller rolls on.
