The remarks of Mr. Justice Mostyn show whiplash fraud is a national scandal not confined to a single area.
When dismissing a claim two months ago he said this is “yet a further example of the national phenomenon of false whiplash claims being made and it is in an attempt to stem the tide that I do not shrink from making firm adverse findings against these claimants”
John Hall sees this as a right-wing v left-wing issue. Surely it’s the case that the poor suffer proportionately more from higher insurance costs. In fact it is the rich -the owners of factory firms spewing out the fraud and associated companies who benefit from the massive fraud engine
